FLUORIDE : CAVITY FIGHTER

Extensive research has shown that optimal levels of fluoride not only reduce caries in children and adults, but also help to repair the early stages of tooth decay. Fluoride works in two ways: topically and systemically.

Systemic fluoride is present naturally in all drinking water sources—oceans, lakes, rivers and underground water. Topical fluorides (meaning fluoride put right on the teeth) strengthen teeth that are in the mouth. As fluoride washes over the tooth surface, it is added into the outer surface of the tooth, making it stronger which protects teeth from cavities. Fluoride helps prevent tooth decay by slowing the breakdown of enamel and speeding up the remineralization process. The new enamel crystals that form are harder, larger, and more resistant to acid. Topical fluoride comes from toothpastes, mouth rinses, gels, and varnishes which are placed directly on the teeth. Children are usually provided with topical fluoride at their dental checkups. Topical fluoride is one of the best ways to get fluoride to teeth. #kidsdentalstudio #dentistry #dentist #Dentalhealth #pediatricdentistry #pediatricdentalclinic #bestpediatricdentalclinicahmedabad #dentalhygienist #dentalcare #painlesskidsdentalclinic #kidsdentist #bestkidsdentist #kidsdentistahmedabad #childdentalcare #childdentist #childrendentist #bestchilddentistinahmedabad #pediatricdentist #bestpediatricdentistinahmedabad
